The Wisconsin Department of Health Services is urging you to be aware of a potential scam where a person has been calling SeniorCare applicants and members and claiming to represent the Wisconsin Department of Health and Human Services. The caller has been asking for identifying information, such as a Social Security number. If you receive a phone call like this, do not give out any personal information, hang up immediately, and call SeniorCare Customer Service at 1-800-657-2038 or Enrollment Management Central Application Processing Operation (EM CAPO) at 1-877-246-2276.
SeniorCare is a prescription drug assistance program for Wisconsin residents who are 65 years of age or older and meet the enrollment requirements. The program is designed to help seniors with their prescription drug costs. Please share this information with your friends and family as you don’t know who needs help from the very high cost of prescriptions.
